Pigtown Takes on Ridgeley's Delight in Epic Softball Battle 8/20
It began innocently enough over drinks at Pickles. But once the challenge had been made, there was only one thing to do. A battle began, and a tradition was started:
3rd Annual PIGTOWN vs RIDGELEY'S DELIGHT softball match, joined this year by Riverside and Locust Point
Now in its third year, it's time for Pigtowners to step up and claim victory. The battle will begin at 10:30 AM August 20 at Carroll Park with a match again Ridgeley's Delight - the battle of the boulevard (MLK boulevard, that is!)
Following the game, Locust Point takes on Riverside. The third and final game of the day will be winner vs winner, mano a mano, to see which neighborhood comes out on top.
So come out and support Pigtown! You can be on the team or cheer our neighborhood to victory. There’ll be a potluck cookout as well, so bring a dish to share and some meat to throw on the grill and spend the day cheering your neighbors.
Where: Carroll Park Softball Fields
When: Saturday, August 20, 10:30 am (games begin at 11am) to 2pm-ish
What to bring: If you’re playing, bring your glove and a bat if you have one. Also, spectators and players alike, bring a dish for the potluck cookout and some meat for the grill.
