COP Monthly Meeting February 14th 2012
Agenda-
-Christina will be giving us an update on the Baltimore cleanup campaign, she has arranged for a Dumpster to be dropped off in PigTown
-We will have an update about the proposed Hollins Roundhouse treatment center. A committee has been formed to show the neighborhoods opposition to this treatment center. They had their first meeting on February 6th 2012, minutes from this meeting will be posted shortly on the facebook page.
-Lisa Kramer - a representative from Baltimores Red Line will be attending to ask for our support.
-Eugene Macdonald will be attending to offer a business plan for his new liquor store. Mr. Macdonald is taking over the pre-existing liquor store at 801 washington Blvd.
- Christina will be proposing a "Lot O" flea market to take place in April
-A neighbor (name to be updated at a later date) would like to have the communities input on a disruptive bar near his house.
-Their is a new business, Zips Dry-Cleaners, which will be occupying one of the spaces in the Dollar General parking lot. Hopefully Lorie will be able to come and speak to us about her plans for the store!

Pigtown Takes on Ridgeley's Delight in Epic Softball Battle 8/20
It began innocently enough over drinks at Pickles. But once the challenge had been made, there was only one thing to do. A battle began, and a tradition was started:
3rd Annual PIGTOWN vs RIDGELEY'S DELIGHT softball match, joined this year by Riverside and Locust Point

900 Block Proposal – Result of Resident Vote
Thank you for voting on the 900 block proposal.
You voted 87.6% to 12.4% in favor of supporting the 900 block proposal. 121 residents voted. COP will issue a letter of support for the proposal as it currently stands.
Thanks to all who took the time to speak up for the future of our neighborhood by voting. You left great comments and sent in great questions. COP will release the letter of support on our website and Facebook page when it's ready to send.
